Elliot's Portfolio

In all honesty I was dreading learning to code as I had no previous experience before coming to university. When we were set the processing project I was a little worried but after a few workshops i began to gain confidence doing so. We first began by just getting used to the processing programme and we learnt how to create certain shapes and how to make them move across the page. It began to grow on me fast as once you learn a segment of code more than once you remember it more. Bellow you can see my first code where I made shapes and changed the colour once the mouse was moved.

For my main Idea i wanted to create a game, I knew this would be a challlenge for me but I wanted to learn. My idea was to have a sort of keep the object from falling of the page. I had an alien that was falling from the sky and a trampoline at the bottom which the alien would bounce back off. I thought that doing this Idea would be complicated but using the basic knowloage I have learnt it was easlier than expected. Above you can see all the coding that took place.

I then had another Idea as I saw this code and it looked so great. It made me want to base my final code on something like this. But it was too complicated for me as Im new to coding.It is a series of circle that all move in diffirent directions which had this brilliant shaddow effect. In future I hope to make something like this.
